Human Resources (HR) is the term given to describe the most valuable part of your business – the people.
HR covers areas from hiring and firing through to job placement, promotion, salary and wage negotiations.
In larger organisations HR may be a dedicated department but in many small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) this falls to department or general managers.
Good HR can make a company. Well looked after staff ideally placed and remunerated will deliver good results. Poor HR can land management, and proprietors in court!
